It is the main intention of the customer care executive to get these queries resolved and to make the customer understand well. An executive has many options to respond to the customers. He can also send him an e-mail, but the word to word talks are the most effective methods.

While talking, one can feel the mood of the customer and get the root of the problem in a better way. It is also very effective as the executive can also place his points to the customers in a better way. So handling a query on telephone is more effective as it is the direct mode of conversing to the customers.
